White crappie
The White crappie (lat. Pomoxis annularis), one of two species of the Pomoxis genus that live in North America. It is widespread in the United States, but its native range is in the eastern United States and Canada. Crappie are a freshwater fish. They prefer bodies of water with a slight current or with stagnant water. In the reservoir, it likes places overgrown with underwater vegetation. White crappie have a high, laterally compressed body, which is painted silvery with green or brown shades on the back. There are dark stripes on the sides. The belly is white. The white crappie differs in color and greater body length from the black crappie. The average weight of an adult specimen is 0.3-1.4 kg. Individual specimens can reach 2.5 kg.
