White bass
The White bass (lat. Morone chrysops) is a fish of the genus Lapracidae. It lives in such large American bodies of water as the St. Lawrence River and Lake Ontario. It can also be found in the lower reaches of the Great Lakes and in the Hudson and Mohawk rivers. Sometimes it can be caught in small lakes and ponds that have no outlet to the sea. Outwardly, it resembles a striped bass. White bass have an elongated, streamlined body with large scales. The color is silvery-white. Along the upper part of the body there are longitudinal thin dark stripes. The average weight of an adult specimen is 0.3-1.3 kg. The maximum is a little more than 3 kg
