Clupeonella
The Clupeonella (Clupeonella cultriventris) is a small schooling fish from the herring family. It is found in the Black Sea, as well as in the Caspian Sea and in the rivers flowing into them. Its abdomen and sides are silver-colored, and the back and top of the head are darker and have a blue-green hue. Adult specimens reach 9 to 15 cm in length. This fish can be caught using a fishing rod. Also, it is well suited as a bait fish for perch, burbot or pike.
