Vuoksa Whitefish
Vuoksa whitefish is one of the seven varieties of the common diadromous whitefish, inhabiting the Ladoga Lake, which is a form migrating between lakes and rivers: it breeds in the river, it feeds in the lake. It is a pretty rare fish. It lives mainly in the northern and north-western part of the Ladoga. Its diet is based on plankton. Adult specimens reach a length of about 50 cm and a weight of up to 2-2.5 kg.
