
Black Sea Shemaya


The Black Sea Shemaya (Alburnus mento) - the habitat of this fish covers the Black Sea-Azov Basin. The fish has an elongated, laterally compressed body of medium height. Its back is dark green, with a bluish tint. The sides are lighter, silvery colored. The belly is whitish. Adult species can reach 28 cm in length. A float works best for catching shemaya, but you can also try bottom fishing rigs.
