Small redfish
Sebastes viviparus lives in the northern waters of the Atlantic Ocean and is common off the coast of Norway. It lives in small shoals at depths of 80 to 500 m. Its body is compressed from the sides has a bright red-pink coloration as an adult. Young fish are more muted, brownish and do not descend to greater depths. The maximum size is about 70 cm in length, with a body weight of 5 kg. The average length is 40 – 50 cm.
