Lumpfish
The lumpfish or lumpsucker inhabits the northern Atlantic Ocean and the seas of the Arctic Ocean. It prefers depths of 25 to 200 metres, but can be found at depths of up to 400 metres. The lumpfish has a large, large-eyed head and rounded body, studded with rows of hard growths. The body colour varies from grey, sometimes with a blue or green tinge, to greenish-olive, the belly being considerably lighter. The usual length of an adult fish is 30-40 cm. The maximum recorded length is 75 cm.
