Bastard Sturgeon
Species of fish belonging to the sturgeon family. Its habitat are the basins of the Aral, Caspian and Black Seas. Like all sturgeon, the bastard sturgeon is a real predator. Its diet consists of insect larvae, crustaceans, mollusks and small fish. The snout of the sturgeon has a regular cone shape. Body color is usually lighter than that of the regular sturgeon, for which this fish is sometimes called white sturgeon. The length of an adult individual can reach 2 m, and weight 30 kg or more.
