Baltic Sturgeon
Baltic sturgeon is atlantic sturgeon that lives in the Baltic Sea. For spawning it comes from the Baltic Sea to the Neva and from there it rises to the Ladoga Lake. It leads a predatory life, hunting in the water column for small shoaling fish. It can also feed on mollusks and benthic invertebrates. It may reach a length of 3 m and a weight of more than 200 kg. Especially large specimens weigh more than 400 kg, with a length of about 6 m.
