The Meagre (lat. Argyrosomus regius) is a predatory fish of the Sciaenidae family. It is distributed in the eastern part of the Atlantic Ocean from Norway to Senegal, and is also found in the Black and Mediterranean Seas. It lives in the coastal zone at a depth of 15 - 400 meters. It has an elongated, low and compressed from the sides of the body with a large head. The body is silver-gray, back and sides have a bronze tint. The fins are gray, red at the base. Reaches a length of 230 cm and a weight of 110 kg.
