Spotted wolffish
Anarhichas minor lives in the northern Atlantic, Barents and Norwegian Seas. It prefers the near-bottom zone at depths of up to 500 meters. The spotted wolffish has a long, predatory body and flattened head. Wide, black, transverse body stripes form individual spots in adults. The length of the spotted wolffish is usually about 1 meter, but can be up to 2 m with a weight of about 30 kg. It is most often caught on special bottom tackle with rattles and brightly colored attractants.
