Common ling
Ling are common in the eastern Atlantic Ocean, close to the coast of Scandinavia. It can also be found in the waters of the North Sea and the Skagerrak Strait. The ling is a pelagic fish and prefers depths of 50 to 200 metres. Its head and upper back are coloured reddish-brown. The sides are lighter in colour. The belly is yellow or white. Adult sea pike can reach up to two metres in length.
