
Longhead dab


Occurs in the North Atlantic Ocean - from the Bay of Biscay in the south to Iceland, off the coast of Norway and in the Barents and White Seas. Leads a benthic life, usually keeping at a depth of 10-120 m. The longhead dab has a tall body with an elongated snout. The ocular side is grey-brown to greenish-brown. The blind side is lemon-yellow. The usual size of adult specimens is 30-55 cm. The maximum recorded body length is 75 cm
