Blunt-snouted lenok
The blunt-snouted lenok is widely distributed in the rivers of Siberia, the Far East, China and Korea. This predatory freshwater fish belongs to the salmon family. It prefers clean cold water of mountain and foothill rivers with a fast current. Outwardly, the blunt-snouted lenok slightly resembles the whitefish. Its body has a bar-shaped runny form and fine dense scales. Adults are usually colored dark brown with gold with numerous dark rounded spots. They can reach over 1 meter in length and weigh 12 kg.
