It is most commonly found near the water's surface but can descend to depths of 500 meters. The Porbeagle has a characteristic appearance of a typical shark. The upper part of its spindle-shaped body has a bluish-gray color, while the belly is light, almost white. The Porbeagle has large triangular teeth. Individuals of this shark species can reach just over 4 m in length with a weight of about 250 kg.
