Kohaku

Modern koi are the result of a long and careful selection process. The first specimens of black carp appeared more than a thousand years ago. Subsequently, multi-colored carps were also bred. The Kohaku, characteristic of koi, has a broad, thick body covered with large scales and a short, rounded head. Kohaku's body color is white with red spots. The maximum recorded weight of an adult koi is 40 kg.
