Hybrid Striped Bass (Whiterock Bass)
The Hybrid Striped bass (lat. Morone chrysops × saxatilis) is a product of crossing a female striped bass and a male white bass. The body of the hybrid is slightly compressed from the sides and resembles a white perch. The stripes on the sides, unlike the striped bass, are irregular or intermittent. Hybrids have incredible strength and endurance. It is a fast and aggressive predator. Hybrids weigh, on average, 1-7 kg. Maximum weight is 13 kg.
