Type of fish which belongs to the herring family. It inhabits the waters of the Caspian Sea Basin. Its primary diet is small fish and crustaceans. The back and the upper part of the head of the Brazhnikov herring are greenish-black. It has well developed teeth. This is a rather large fish, reaching 50 cm in length.
